  • “LOVED this book! I was in the main character’s corner from the onset, and following her development throughout the novel did not disappoint! The heroine’s journey takes her on some mind-blowing twists and turns. The settings are so vividly drawn that I felt like I was right there with the characters. Michelle E. Black is a gifted writer who draws the reader in from the first page and doesn’t let go until the very last. Can’t wait for Book 2!”

  • “Omg just finished. I have no words and yet I have so many words! Cannot tell you how much I loved it. I love the fact that it is women-driven, that her world is comprised of strong, powerful, protective women who are committed to one another and to her- on both levels- the family level of Shayla, Walta, and Mimi and on the Guardianship level of Zaya, Mena, Gabriella. I love the male characters who support her- Tim and Dillon of course, and well, you know, Liam. I love her- Acacia- powerful and vulnerable and altogether real and human at the same time. (Makes me wish I knew you in high school- I think I had that Siouxsie and the Banshees shirt you reference.)  You have done wonders weaving together this complex story of present and past, power and perceived weakness, friendship and love of all different kinds… AND you got me to enjoy a time travel tale!?!?! Michelle, you master, I’m not worthy (insert Wayne and Garth arm waving bows here and now). And the last paragraph of the acknowledgements? Don’t even get me started.”
